Bayern Munich have decided on the transfer fee for Marcel Sabitzer, according to German media.
The 28-year-old Sabitzer joined Manchester United on loan on deadline day following Christian Eriksen’s unexpected midterm injury.
The Austrian international signed for Bayern in August 2021 from Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig for €16 million.
Savitzer’s contract expires in the summer of 2025, after signing a four-year deal.
With Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich, Ryan Gravenberg and Jamal Musciara vying for a place in Bayern’s starting eleven, Savitzer was the only role player in Julian Nagelsmann’s squad.
He has made just seven starts in Bayern’s Bundesliga this season.
As a result, the German giants may use Savitzer’s Premier League spell as a platform to advertise a full transfer.
United chose not to negotiate a purchase option clause in the loan agreement due to time constraints.
Sport Bild’s Christian Falk says the Bavarian mayor has already calculated the market price.
According to Falk, Bayern will ask Sabitzer for a €20m transfer fee in the summer, describing it as a “realistic price”.
He has made three appearances so far for Erik ten Hag, but will miss Thursday night’s Europa League clash with Barcelona as a result of his suspension.
The midfielder has been booked three times in the Champions League earlier this season and UEFA has ruled him out of United’s first leg against Barça due to the suspension.
