Chargers vs. Raiders live score, updates, highlights from NFL ‘Sunday Night Football’ game

The Raiders will host the Chargers in a fight to keep both teams’ playoff hopes alive.

The winning team will automatically advance to the 2022 NFL playoffs, and both teams need at least one tie to secure a spot. A home win will extend the Raiders’ winning streak and position Las Vegas as the No. 7 seed. However, if the Chargers win, they will secure a playoff spot and eliminate Las Vegas.

With the Colts losing to the Jaguars 26-11 on Sunday afternoon, the Raiders and Chargers can make the playoffs if the game ends in a draw. The outcome of the meeting will also affect the Steelers’ playoff chances, as Pittsburgh won 16-13 on the road against the Ravens.

During their last meeting in Week 4, the Chargers earned a 28-14 victory against the Raiders at home. Herbert completed 25 of 38 passes for 222 yards with three touchdowns while Derek Carr completed 21 of 34 passes for 196 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.

Justin Herbert will lead the Chargers on the road in full force, with no players on the COVID-19 reserve list. He connected with wide receiver Mike Williams for 63 yards and a touchdown during Los Angeles’ 34-13 win over the Broncos last week. Although Raiders leading running back Josh Jacobs and tight end Darren Waller were listed as questionable due to injuries earlier in the week, both players are expected to start the mandatory game to win.
