Chelsea step up their interest in Everton star after being priced out of move for other targets

Chelsea have increased interest in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana after moves by other targets sent prices lower.

Onana signed for Everton during the summer transfer window earlier in the season. With Everton struggling financially, it may be necessary to sell some of their valuable assets to help them bring in reinforcements.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed his interest in Anthony Gordon via CaughtOffside’s Substack column.

Interest in Everton midfielder Onana has also been reported, and The Times now reports that Chelsea are planning to increase their interest in the Belgian international as a replacement for Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

Reports say Chelsea don’t want to pay Caicedo and Fernandes’ asking prices and want to capitalize on Everton’s need for cash.

Selling Onana midway through the season would be devastating for Everton, especially considering they have already struggled in the Premier League this season.

The money received will help reinvest, but there isn’t much time left in the transfer window for Everton to bring in reinforcements.
