Arsenal are poised to take on some of Europe’s biggest clubs for Real Valladolid’s Spanish full-back Ivan Fresneda.
The Gunners will have to deal with interest in Fresneda from the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Newcastle, according to the Evening Standard.
The 18-year-old right-back nearly left Valladolid in January but has ultimately remained loyal to his club, making it more likely that he will leave this summer.
Standard also says Fresneda have a £26.5m release clause and with the player’s contract at Valladolid not expiring until 2025, it looks like the club will have to pay it in full.
Fresneda has made 10 appearances for his club this season and Valladolid are just two points above the relegation zone after 22 appearances, meaning they are entitled to stay in La Liga beyond this season. I keep fighting for it.

With Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu currently playing at Arsenal right-back, Fresneda would be a welcome addition to the team, especially since the former is more naturally suited to the role of centre-back.
