Manchester United manager Eric Ten Hag has reiterated that he wants to stay at Old Trafford to see the project through as the club takeover rages on.

United are currently embroiled in a heated competition between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Qatari investors led by Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

Both parties have released statements outlining their plans and intentions for the Red Devils.

The Manchester United Supporters Trust recently released a statement outlining the requirements of potential owners before taking over the reins at the club.

One of the MUST conditions included full and unambiguous endorsement of Erik ten Hag.

This is an unreducible minimum that most United fans agree must adhere to. Ten Hag enjoys a dizzying amount of support from his fan base, with only a few supporters willingly accepting that his authority has been taken away.

Questioned about what his future holds, Ten Hag, in a clever way, refused to be drawn into revealing too much.

The United boss said: ‘I appreciate the fans when they trust me.

“I feel committed to this club. I love being here, but [the takeover] It is beyond my influence. “

“The only thing I can influence is the performance of this team.

Any bidder wishing to succeed in his endeavors would be wise to recognize the Dutchman’s value.

The progress he has made is visible to everyone on and off the pitch.
