Manchester United will face Newcastle in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.
Both sides will be desperate to end their respective trophy droughts at a show event at Wembley.
Newcastle right-back Kieran Tripper has spoken out about United’s threat.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Tripper has named four players his side should look out for over the weekend.
The England right-back was first asked about any concrete plans to stop the furious Marcus Rashford, and Trippier was positive about praising his England teammate.
“I know Marcus very well. I always knew how incredible he was, so I’m really happy with him,” he said.
Trippier then said Rashford Newcastle not only had to remain silent, giving special mention to three more Reds.
“But it’s not just one individual. Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Luke Shaw have also done incredible things this season.”
Casemiro, in particular, has missed the last three domestic games due to suspension and is on the verge of reaching the final.
Tripper himself, who has been linked with a move to United in recent years, could easily find himself in the opponents’ dressing room in this match.
The defender joined Tyneside just over a year ago and has been doing well since the arrival of Eddie Howe from Atlético Madrid.
All eyes will be on Wembley after tonight’s big Europa League match against Barcelona.
Eric ten Hag’s men face a hefty 10 days ahead of Barça and Newcastle with the next FA Cup and trip to Anfield respectively.
