Las Vegas Raiders Have Released Quarterback Derek Carr

The Las Vegas Raiders have notified quarterback Derek Carr that he will be released today, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The veteran quarterback would have been guaranteed $40.2 million if he hadn’t been fired by Tuesday. Las Vegas has freed up $29.25 million cap his space with the move.

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the 31-year-old Pro Bowler will get a lot of suitors once he hits the market.

“He doesn’t get guaranteed money. He’ll be a free agent and someone else will give him a lot of guaranteed money, so there’s a bit of a trade-off there.” Derek Carr “I expected to be one of the most coveted free agents,” Rapoport said. is very fond of him and I would like to keep in mind that there is a mutual interest there.”

Not an overwhelming class of free-agent quarterbacks expected to keep moving. Baker Mayfield, Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brissett, and now he Carr can all get a head start on them all, almost a month ahead.

However, Carr’s landing point outside of New Orleans could be Carolina or Washington. Both teams are looking for long-term answers at quarterback, but they won’t be picking the top picks in the 2023 NFL Draft.

It’s fascinating to see what Josh McDaniels has in mind for the future. With Kerr’s release, the Raiders appear to be entering the QB market. Kansas City Chiefs win another Super Bowl With the win, Reyderez is no longer a contender for the AFC West title, according to the Nevada sportsbook.
