Manchester United looking to rival Arsenal in pursuit of young forward

Manchester United are looking to take on Arsenal to sign young forward Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund is an exciting young player currently featured sporadically for Italian team Atalanta. Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed to CaughtOffside that Hojlund wants to play regularly and not sit on the bench, perhaps having to do more than he chooses to do.

La Repubblica reports that Arsenal and Real Madrid are keen to sign Hojlund, who has scored seven goals so far this season.

Now, according to a report from Tipsbladet, Manchester United are the latest club to join Hojlund’s contract race.

Manchester United are in dire need of an attacking addition in the summer transfer window. Wout Weghorst was signed in January, but the Dutch forward is only on loan from Burnley and is not a long-term solution at his age.

Hojlund is not an immediate fix for United and it may take some time before he can lead the line at Old Trafford, but he has great potential to grow and improve with an experienced option. It’s a player.
