Darwin Nunez regained his way of scoring with a powerful strike from close range to give Liverpool the lead at St James’ Park.

Trent Alexander-Arnold caught his electric teammate’s run on a superbly controlled pass just in front of the 18-yard box and thundered into the net with power.

The goal for the Uruguay international was fortunately conceded but was subject to a VAR check following a handball allegation against the 23-year-old.
