(Video) Sky Sports reporter fires thinly veiled dig at Manchester United fans over Qatari takeover interest

Manchester United look set to benefit from the economic power of the Middle East, with the club attracting serious interest from Qatar.

Kaveh Solhekol has smashed potential gains as far as the side’s operations and mounting debt are concerned, but cautioned his point by subtly referring to the regime’s appalling human rights record. If you have an owner who can afford to buy a club and run it, the Qatari would be the right owner for you.

It felt like a veiled dig from a Sky Sports reporter, as many Red Devils fans online have clearly expressed a lack of attention to the darker side of this story.

The QIA was said to have some interest in investing in Liverpool, but talks recently broke down. Perhaps due to the lack of a significant offer based on the FSG’s statement on managing the Reds (and given the conflicting values).
